Your smart heating can be taken with you when you move home but you should consider if it is worth the effort.

Both Nest and Honeywell Evohome smart heating systems can be uninstalled from your current house and re-installed at your new home.

However uninstalling will require installing a wired thermostat in order to leave a working system for the purchaser.  It will also take time and cost money to uninstall smart heating controls from your boiler and hot water tank.  In addition, for multi-zone heating systems it will cost to uninstall any smart TRVs from your radiators.

Also re-installing a Honeywell Evohome may well require new and different components depending on the radiators fitted in your new home.

We therefore suggest it is far better to sell your home with the smart heating system as an added feature.
